LMC Policies

The mission of the Arabia Mountain High School Library Media Center is to provide services, resources, and spaces that support students in becoming:
  • Academically successful
  • Critical thinkers
  • Ethical producers and users of information
  • Lifelong learners and readers

Library hours for students are 7:45am-3:45pm. Students must have a signed hall pass from a teacher to be in the LMC anytime during the instructional day, including during lunch. Passes are not required after school (3:20pm-3:45pm).

Sign in when you enter the LMC. You can scan the QR code at the main service desk, use the laptop at the main service desk, or click here for the form.

Check out books for two weeks. Your student ID number (S number) is required to check out books. Return books anytime the LMC is open. The book return is at the main service desk. You can check out up to five books at a time, provided that you don't have any lost or overdue books on your account. We're happy to accept book returns from other DCSD Library Media Centers. We'll send the books back to their home libraries.

Computers are available if you don't have access to your student Chromebook. Use your S number and student password to login to LMC computers.

Printing is $.10 per single-sided page for black/white prints and $.25 per single-sided page for color prints. Students are encouraged to consult with Mrs. Jones or Mr. HInckley before printing, because students are responsible for paying for ALL prints. Printing is cash only.

We provide online access to a variety of research resources. Check the right sidebar on the LMC homepage for links to tools and databases. Passwords are available from Mrs. Jones.
