<u>AMHS Students Receive Army Reserve Awards!</u>

Congratulation to Gabrielle Brim for receiving the Bright Star Achievement Award for completing 5,000 volunteer hours while serving her two year requirement as an 335th Signal Command (Theater) Army Teen Panel Member.

Congratulation to Nathaniel Williams for receiving the Junior Achievement Award which recognizes youth with exceptional service and leadership skills while serving as an active 335th Signal Command (Theater) Army Teen Council Member. This award is a peer nominated award. Nathaniel participated in skill development and volunteer training and completed 1,000 volunteer hours.

The Teen Council volunteers participate in workshops, community service activities, team building exercises, meetings with community leaders, and leadership development educational classes as well as trainings in resiliency. The Teen Council provide opportunities for teens to apply the knowledge, skills, and understandings through meaningful services to the community. This training also increase teens understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity.
