Arabia Mountain High School

Dekalb County Schools

Summer Bridge Program

Students will rotate through four courses (Math, Science, English, and Social Studies) and four sessions (Study Skills, Team Building, Vision Board, and School Tours) during the week. The curriculum will be centered around the book, "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss. Students will be immersed in activities that are similar to what they will experience at AMHS. Students will need to bring a composition notebook, pens and pencils with them daily.

Additionally, they will participate in a Ninth grade counseling session with our head counselor, Mrs. Bates- Rogers, a hike through one of the Arabia Mountain trails, and a Ninth Grade Pow-Wow with some of our rising 10th graders.

On Friday, students will participate in a week-ending celebration where they will embark on a Scavenger Hunt (three winners will receive a prize of school supplies) and each student will receive their Summer Bridge t-shirt.
